dreamworks-logoMY STORY

I have always been driven to achieve: Summa cum Laude from Tufts… Graduate studies at Oxford… Starring on an NBC television series…

By the time I was 27, I was running a division of DreamWorks working directly with Steven Spielberg. There I was, at the pinnacle of my career.

And I was miserable.

On Christmas Day, 1999 I wasn’t exactly partying with Prince — I was working. We were prepping a huge launch and my entire team had been at the office all day, under the faint din of “jingle bells” on some tinny, plug-in speakers.

By 11pm, when it was clear we were going to be there until the wee hours, I looked at the platter of dried out cold cuts (our Christmas dinner!) and I’ll never forget that moment. I couldn’t escape the voice that cried out, “what the hell am I doing here?”

It all looked so good from the outside. But none of my accomplishments had made me happy. Truth be told, I was living a life based on expectations and shoulds. I made choice after choice that I thought would keep me financially robust, or get others’ approval, or create prestige. Deep down I didn’t even know what I truly wanted. What I did know is that I couldn’t ignore that ache inside.

So I took a deep breath, and…. I quit.

That’s right. I said goodbye to Hollywood. People thought I was crazy, but the journey I embarked on made me understand that happiness and fulfillment was going to be an “inside job.”

slider-barb2Truth is, I had to develop a fiercely loving relationship with myself first, and then from that place of authentic self-worth and confidence, I could achieve miracles… the miracles that were aligned with MY values and dreams, not the ones that external expectations had assigned me.

And so far, the journey has been nothing short of completely life-changing.

Today I am a published author, sought-after speaker, and respected coach with an M.A. in Spiritual Psychology. I appear frequently on industry panels and summits, and I was even hired as the On-Air Life Coach for the Fine Living Channel for 8 years.

I get to wake up every day to a life I never thought possible. I absolutely adore my work. I have a beautiful family, rich relationships, abundant health, and financial security. But more than anything, I have deep self-love, a true knowledge of my worth, and the ability to consistently manifest miracles.bio1
